RE/MAX Associates in particular are mindful of the impact they make locally, not just in real estate but as caring citizens. Over the years, our Associates have distinguished themselves as stewards for the betterment of their communities, concerned not only with contribution to their communities but also with the outcome of the contribution. These qualities are a dynamic part of the RE/MAX organization.
Children’s Miracle Network
RE/MAX associates are very active in their communities and volunteer and hold fundraising events for the Children’s Miracle Network and countless other causes all year long. Since 1992, RE/MAX has been a major contributor to the Children’s Miracle Network; a North American fund-raising organization dedicated to generating funds and awareness programs for the benefit of Children served by its over 170 associated hospitals. In 2019 RE/MAX across Canada has raised over $4.5 million on behalf of 14 Canadian children’s hospital foundations who are treating more than 2.3 million children each year. Throughout our 28 year partnership, over $79 million has been raised by RE/MAX agents who make a contribution with every home sold through the Miracle Home Program.
The needs of children-at-risk have always been our first choice, which is why RE/MAX has supported Children’s Miracle Network to fund sick children – in January 2015 we launched a partnership with Backpack Buddies who feeds children in Vancouver who otherwise go without good nutrition. Backpack Buddies is a unique program that addresses a very real need in the Vancouver community while providing a tangible opportunity for kids to help other kids. As of December 2019 our RE/MAX agents have donated $176,828 to this wonderful organization.
Sold on Saving Lives
The RE/MAX Sold on Saving Lives Program raises vital funds and awareness for the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation located right here in our city. The Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation funds, supports and advocates for:
- Accepting, respecting and valuing the dignity of each individual;
- Transforming despair, isolation, fear, and fatigue into inclusion, support, safety, and security;
- Comfort Care focuses on living, and dying as part of living.
Quest for Excellence
The Quest for Excellence program is a bursary program for grade 12 students in Western Canada. It was established by RE/MAX of Western Canada to recognize the success and ongoing pursuits of Western Canadian students in regard to leadership and community contribution initiatives.
Organ Donor Awareness
RE/MAX is committed to help raise awareness of the ongoing need for organ donation. Canadian Association of Transplantation assists Canadians in making informed decisions regarding organ, tissue, and bone marrow donation. With the continued support of RE/MAX of Western Canada and other organizations helping spread the word on the need for organ donors, we can help increase the number of donors across Western Canada.
In my first year with RE/MAX all my hopes were fulfilled. When I left Sutton a lot of people asked me what I was hoping to find joining another brokerage. I wanted a manager who cared, a great support staff, training, a smooth transition and ultimately more sales. Well having my biggest year before being 16 ends and this year doing 40 ends with RE/MAX. I was presented with the opportunity to attend RE/MAX Career Night by chance while doing some research on the Real Estate Licensing program on the internet. I was in contact with a couple agents from other realty firms but did not get the information I received from a couple of hours well spent this night. I have worked in banking and lending for the past fourteen years, so going from a salaried position to a commission based income was very worrisome. However, Cassidy’s enthusiasm and the way the information was provided gave me the push I needed to take the necessary steps to make the decision to take the Real Estate Licensing program within the next few weeks. I believe my previous career will assist me in my growth especially that I am very goal oriented and set my goals high. Even if I do not choose to be a RE/MAX agent, they are the reason I made the choice to start a new career.

I think the thing that sets RE/MAX apart is the amount each office invests in its new Agents.
